As a professional, Caroline's calling is to develop lasting relationships by promoting health & wellness through the provision of dental hygiene care. She is a member in good standing of both the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association and the College of Registered Dental Hygienist of Ontario. She graduated from Fanshawe College in 2006 and worked in Nova Scotia for a year. She took a year off to travel which took her as far as Thailand, Indonesia, India and while there she offered her Dental hygiene knowledge at orphanages. She has worked with periodontists and several types of General practice dental offices since returning to Ontario.
Excitingly, changes to the “Health Professions Act” on November 1, 2006, has carved out a unique niche within the existing dental industry giving hygienist the ability to provide optimal preventative oral care; while working independently of dentists. This enables individuals to have better access to these services. The freedom to promote and bring more value to the dental hygiene profession coupled with a genuine sensitivity for individualized client care has inspired Caroline to join Norfolk Dental Hygiene.
Independent dental hygiene is an exciting field of dentistry that is true to who Caroline is, that being a ‘whole-body’ practitioner. This area of study considers the entire body’s health when treating the mouth. The body and mouth are connected and it is through this whole-body approach that Caroline’s clientele greatly benefit. Her desire to practice dental hygiene and to promote health and wellness is in line with Norfolk Dental Hygiene’s philosophy of whole body wellness and holistic approach.
Caroline has a great understanding of treatment modalities of periodontal disease and preventative procedures. She is passionate about preventative approach dentistry and is able to share with you its importance.
Caroline is passionate about nature, health, and holistic lifestyle. Family is very important to her. She spends time with her family and enjoys playing golf with her husband, nature hikes, yoga, kayaking and loves using and promoting essential oils as a Wellness Advocate.
She looks forward to meeting you and helping you attain your dental hygiene goals!
